How do I???
Like me, you may be totally new to blogging. I think the way this will work ,is that I will post and you all can comment. I don't think you can create a new post, but I"m not 100% sure about that. I also don't know if you have to become an official 'follower' to comment? Anyone know? I think that by 'subscribing' you can get posts sent to your email, if that is something you would like. Or, you can just check in from time to time to see what's been happening. I intend to create a post for every 'day' of the devotion, even if it is simply, "Anything strike you on this day?" It won't matter if we are all on the same day or not, when you get to day 5, and something zings out at you, you can simply go to the 'Day 5' post and add to the conversation whatever is on your heart to say. Feel free to post your technical questions on this thread, and together we will get it all figured out. I don't see any need to create password protection to who can view and post on this blog, but if any of you would like that, I will be happy to get Jenn's help to do that.

Timely beginning of the blogging, Coreen. I don't know what day you are on since you started before the rest of us, but for the group today was on us sharing the comfort with which we have been comforted, and the idea of community. I didn't have any startling revelations or anything, but I did think it interesting that she asked us to ponder both the blessings *and* difficulties of being in community. I feel like I have had a practicum in community over the last two years. First, experiencing the wonderful blessings of grace, help and unconditional love during an incredibly difficult time. Then experiencing the difficulties of personality conflicts, pain and hurt due to sin, conflict and fear. I am amazed at how God takes it *all* and works good.
ReplyDeleteYesterday, I had a pretty neat moment. I was praying in the "Praying God's Word" section on the Daniel passage, and I realized that for Jesus to be the highest authority, power and ruler of all has *huge* implications for his character. I was thinking of it in the context of leading. The more responsibility I am given, or more authority in leadership, the more weight I feel. It is not an easy thing, authority. The fact that Jesus is the ULTIMATE authority shows that He is incredibly intelligent, just, powerful, long-suffering (to be able to stand under that weight!), merciful and trustworthy, to name a few. That just blessed my heart.
Ok. Obviously, I am verbose. Hopeful that this was a blessing to someone.
My first blog experience -very exciting! Just thought I would try posting a comment and make sure it works. Thanks Coreen and Jen for setting this up!
